World's Best Hospitals List Includes 3 In NYC

The Newsweek analysis named the 100 best medical facilities in the world.

NEW YORK – A list of the world's 100 best hospitals includes three that are based in New York City.

Newsweek's “World’s Best Hospitals 2019” analysis names NYU Langone, New York Presbyterian and Mount Sinai. Their inclusion was “based on recommendations from medical professionals, patient survey results and medical performance indicators.”

None of New York's medical centers were among the top ten globally. They included:

Mayo Clinic-Rochester; Rochester, Minnesota (1)
Cleveland Clinic; Cleveland, Ohio (2)
The Johns Hopkins Hospitals; Baltimore, Maryland (4)
Massachusetts General Hospital; Boston, Massachusetts (6)

The global list only ranked the top 10, with the remaining 90 listed in alphabetical order. But it did give a national ranking for 200 of the best facilities in the USA.

#6 - New York Presbyterian.

Newsweek’s rankings list the best hospitals in the U.S., Canada, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Switzerland, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Australia and Israel.
