Bomb Threat Hoax At New City Elementary Under Investigation
All students and staff were relocated to a designated evacuation site, the superintendent said.

CLARKSTOWN, NY — All students and staff members at New City Elementary School were evacuated after a bomb threat was called in to the main office.
Superintendent Marc Baiocco of the Clarkstown Central School District said, in a letter to parents and guardians, that the students and staff were safely relocated to a designated evacuation site, which was Clarkstown High School.
The Clarkstown Police Department were notified and on scene at the elementary school.

After a comprehensive search of the school, it was determined no devices were located in the school or on the property, a spokesman for the Clarkstown Police Department said.
Baiocco urged parents to not go to the evacuation site, because it would hinder school bus access.

“Please know that your children are safe and well supervised, and our staffs at both New City and South High School are prepared for this type of emergency situation,” he said.
The Clarkstown Detective Bureau is investigating the bomb threat. If anyone has information regarding this incident, they should contact the Clarkstown Detective Bureau at 845-639-5840.
