Lowey Set to Meet With Seniors, Business Representatives
Congresswoman slated to be in New City today.

U.S. Rep. Nita M. Lowey is slated to be in Rockland today to highlight local efforts to help restore the economy, focus on health and education, and talk with local seniors about financial security for older Americans.
Lowey's district includes New City.
At 11 a.m., Lowey is set to visit ISI Solar at 22 Third Street in New City, which designs and installs solar electric, solar thermal, and wind energy systems for residential and commercial clients. She will discuss the benefits of their work to energy independence and decreased energy costs.

Next stop, at 11:30 a.m. Lowey and Clarkstown Supervisor Alex Gromack are set to inspect street lights funded through federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and meet with local small business owners at the intersection of Main Street and Third Street.
At 1 p.m., Lowey is set to visit the New City Senior Center at Street Community Center, 31 Zukor Road, New City.

At 2 p.m., Lowey heads off to visit Haverstraw Community Garden to discuss the importance of a healthy lifestyle and her efforts to address childhood obesity. The garden is between Haverstraw Middle School and Haverstraw Center.
