Clarkstown resident Check Young was recently sworn in as a new member of the Clarkstown Auxiliary Police, according to Town Clerk David Carlucci. Young, who lives in Nanuet, took an oath to protect and serve the people of Clarkstown at the Town Clerk's Office in New City.  Auxiliary police officers, who are all Clarkstown residents, assist with traffic and crowd control at parades and special events, assist with residential house checks and crime prevention, and they act as support to the regular police patrols.
