Political Notebook: More Endorsements for Carlucci

Working Families Party, the Stonewall Club of Rockland County and Local 1107 of the CWA Union back New City Democrat.

In the race for state Senate, Democratic candidate David Carlucci of New City says last week was a good one for his campaign.

"I am proud to say that the Working Families Party, the Stonewall Club of Rockland County and the Local 1107 of the CWA Union all endorsed our campaign for the New York State Senate," said Carlucci in an e-mail note to supporters.

"These endorsements are independent acknowledgements that I am the most qualified candidate when it comes to helping working families, protecting the civil rights of all New Yorkers, creating jobs in Rockland and Orange Counties and fighting for living wages for all new Yorkers," said Carlucci. "These are all important constituencies, but together, these endorsements are reflective of my commitment to work for all the people in the 38th district."

Carlucci, who is Clarkstown's town clerk, is looking to be the successor to outing state Sen. Thomas Morahan, R-New City, who is not seeking re-election. Rockland County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef is running on the Republican line for Morahan's seat.
