Queens Man Faces DWI Charges In Stony Point

He was driving at 15 MPH in a 40 MPH zone, police said.

STONY POINT, NY — Police were called at 8:44 p.m. Sunday about a car being driven erratically in the area of North Liberty Drive and Freehill Road.

They found a man driving on North Liberty at 15 miles per hour in a 40 MPH zone, police said. After he was stopped and officers briefly investigated, he was placed under arrest.

Jose Ixco-Gutierrez, 34, of Queens, was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in Stony Point Justice Court Sept. 6 to answer charges of driving while intoxicated and Aggravated DWI.
