Ariyana Pollard has been awarded the Caring Kids Award for giving back to the community.

From NY Metro Parents: NYMetroParents, the parenting division of Davler Media Group encompassing seven regional print magazines including Big Apple Parent, Brooklyn Parent and Westchester Parent and the website www.nymetroparents.com, today announces the winners of its first-ever Caring Kids Awards. The honor was established to celebrate children and families who have made extraordinary contributions to their communities via a wide range of volunteer and community service efforts.
“These remarkable young people are extraordinary role models, ones who demonstrate the true value and rewards of giving back to others,” says Michael Kress, editor of the NYMetroParents publications group. “We were astounded by amount of time and creativity these youngsters have devoted to so many worthy causes that touch so many.”
The seven winning entries were selected from over 100 submissions for volunteer and community service projects undertaken by children ages in New York City, Rockland and Westchester counties and Long Island. The seven awards’ recipients included three single children, two sets of pro-social minded twins, a duo of best friends and a trio of siblings! The honorees are being rewarded with a framed certificate, a $500 cash honorarium and editorial coverage in their local NYMetroParents magazine, on the NYMetroParents website and its various social media platforms including Facebook.
