Herricks High School Scholarships

The Herricks Council of PTAs Scholarship Fund was established in 1960.  The purpose of this grant program is to provide financial assistance to Herricks High School seniors.

These grants are given to aid student expenses during the first year of college, nursing, vocational or technical school.

On the basis of established need and the completed application, the Selection Committee, whose members include the High School Guidance Chairperson, the High School Principal, and the 3 Herricks Scholarship Trustees, awards the scholarships. Community service, character, special talents and good academic standing are also factors in the decision making process.

CONFIDENTIALITY is of the utmost importance; all decisions are made before the name of the student is revealed to the committee members.

Scholarship applications/instructions and FAFSA forms (www.fafsa.ed.gov) are available in the Herricks High School Guidance Office or download from this site.
