Queens Drug Dealer Arrested In Nassau Overdose Death: Cops

Police say the drug dealer was found with 10 bags of heroin and some marijuana when he was arrested.

NORTH NEW HYDE PARK, NY — A Queens drug dealer has been arrested in connection with an overdose death in North New Hyde Park, police said Wednesday.

Damiean Landell Johnson, 25, of 253rd Street, was arrested around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in North New Hyde Park following an investigation as part of Operation Natalie, a Nassau County effort to crackdown on opioids, police said.

Investigators who were looking for clues in the overdose death were led to Johnson. He was found with ten bags of heroin and some marijuana, police said.

Johnson faces charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance. He was expected in court Wednesday in Hempstead.
