Ex-Floral Park Mayor To Run For Indicted Councilman's Seat

Check out the details from his announcement.

Former Floral Park Mayor Tom Tweedy, a Republican, announced on Thursday that he will run for Hempstead Town Board on the Democratic Ticket to replace indicted councilman, Ed Ambrosino.

Tweedy, 62, who will run for the seat in the 2nd District, announced he is running on the Democratic ticket because of the Republican's 192 transfers and promotions last year.

Standing alongside Supervisor Laura Gillen and Town Clerk Sylvia Cabana, both Democrats, Tweedy said he will support Gillen's agenda.
