Nassau County Police arrested a Floral Park woman for leaving the scene of an accident which occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013 at 6:38 p.m. in Herricks. According to detectives, Caroline Maggio, 79, of North Floral Park, was driving a 1998 Oldsmobile station wagon westbound on Hillside Avenue when she struck a 54-year old man at the corner of Foch Boulevard before fleeing westbound on Hillside Avenue.The victim suffered serious physical injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition. Maggio was arrested at her home without incident.She is charged with leaving the scene of an accident with serious physical injury and was released on an appearance ticket.
