Gershow Recycling Grants Scholarship to Herricks High School Student

Herricks High School Class of 2013 member Litao Zhao was recently awarded a one-time $1,000 scholarship from Gershow Recycling.

This year, Gershow expanded the scholarship program to include additional schools in the communities surrounding their locations, including Bay Shore High School, Lindenhurst High School, Walt Whitman High School, Freeport High School, Herricks High School, Valley Stream Central High School, and Frederick Douglass Academy VII.

As an environmental recycling company, Gershow awards the competitive scholarship to graduating seniors pursuing a degree in environmental science or engineering.

Gershow has nine locations in Brooklyn, New Hyde Park, Valley Stream, Freeport, Lindenhurst, Huntington Station, Bay Shore, Medford and Riverhead.
