Italian Culture Embraced at New Hyde Park's Carnevale
The event was organized to bring the Italian community together.
Italian music and cuisine were enjoyed by students, faculty and community members at New Hyde Park Memorial High School annual Carnevale.
Hosted by the school’s Italian Club, the event featured a deejay as well as a vocal performance by senior Oudit Balkaran. According to club adviser Anna Maria Maniascalchi, the Carnevale served to bring the Italian community together.
“We want to promote the Italian language in our school and share our love of the culture with the community,” Maniascalchi said.
