July 25: Summer Film Series, Health Screening and Yoga

1. Happy 100th Birthday Geraldine Fitzgerald! Head to the Station Branch of the Great Neck Library through August 29 as they celebrate the 100th birthdays of some of Hollywood's greatest stars. On Thursday, the film Dark Victory (1939, 104 min), starring Bette Davis, George Brent and Fitzgerald will be shown as part of the Station Summer Film Series. The plot revolves around a giddy socialite must come to terms with illness. Doors open at 1:45 p.m. and seating is limited. 

2. North Hempstead is holding a free health screening for seniors as part of Project Independence at St. Francis Hospital at 155 East Shore Road in Manhasset from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.
