Nassau Woman Hits Ex-Boyfriend With Car After Dispute: Police
Police say she faces charges assault and leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in serious injury.

FLORAL PARK, NY — A Franklin Square woman has been arrested after police said she hit her ex-boyfriend with a car in Floral Park and took off, leaving him with a head injury.
Around 12:15 a.m. Sunday, Kristen Gerakaris, 33, was driving on the westbound lanes of Jericho Turnpike near Emerson Avenue when she struck a 38-year-old pedestrian and left without stopping, police said. The man was her former boyfriend whom she'd previously had a dispute with.
The man was taken to a hospital to receive medical treatment for a head injury. He was listed in serious condition, police said.

Investigators identified the vehicle and arrested Gerakaris on Wednesday. She faces charges of 1st-degree assault and leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in serious physical injury.
Gerakaris was expected to appear in court Thursday.
