NEFCU Awards New Hyde Park Resident $20K Scholarship

Congratulations to Ismenia Ginebra, a recent graduate from Kellenberg Memorial High School.

A New Hyde Park resident was recently awarded a $20,000 scholarship through NEFCU's 2018 Making A Difference Premier Scholarship.

Ismenia Ginebra, a recent graduate from Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale, graduated third in her class with a 97.9 GPA. She will attend Tufts University in the fall.

NECFU has awarded more than $1 million to high school students since the inception of its Premier Scholarship program 10 years ago. The annual program selects one Long Island student who is a member (or has a parent or guardian that is a member) of the Westbury-based credit union. To apply for this scholarship, applicants needed to have completed at least 50 hours of community service, have a four-year overall high school grade of 90 or above and be a recent recipient of NEFCU’s Making a Difference Family Scholarship or High School Scholarship.
