New Hyde Park Memorial Celebrates Homecoming [PHOTOS]

The celebration was held Sept. 29.

New Hyde Park Memorial High School students, staff and members of the community celebrated homecoming on Sept. 29.

The day began with a parade that featured incredible floats that tied into the school’s Road Map to Life” theme and upbeat music from the school’s marching band. It continued with the Gladiators taking on Manhasset High School. Unfortunately, New Hyde Park came up short.

Aarman Jivraj and Amanda Saji were named homecoming king and queen. Awards were also given in different categories based on class floats. In the senior high category, the Class of 2021 took home the best overall float for their Coney Island-themed creation. In the junior high category, the Class of 2023’s Statue of Liberty float was the named best overall winner.
