North Hempstead Town Board Honors New Hyde Park Girls Majors Softball Team

Members of the team who reached the Little League Softball World Series honored at town hall.

The honors just keep coming for the New Hyde Park Little League Softball Girls Majors team.

North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman and members of the town board last week hosted a reception at town hall honoring the New Hyde Park Little League All-Stars for winning the regional crown of the Little League Softball World Series.

New Hyde Park won the East Regional championship on July 27, becoming the first Long Island team to qualify for the World Series since an Islip team did it in 1993.
