Police Identify 2 Women Killed In Long Island Rollover Crash

The two female passengers who were killed in a single-car crash Sunday on Long Island have been identified.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY — Authorities have identified the two women who died in a rollover crash Sunday morning in New Hyde Park.

Nassau County police say Pallavi Saini, 39, and Parshotam Kaur, 71, died after they were ejected from the vehicle they were in near the intersection of Marcus Avenue and Union Turnpike. It is unclear if the victims — who both lived in Glen Oaks — were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The single-car crash was reported Sunday around 6:50 a.m.

According to police, a 41-year-old man was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla on Marcus Avenue when the car crashed and overturned against a pole.

Saini and Kaur, the two passengers, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The male driver, whose identity has not been released, was extricated from the vehicle and rushed to an area hospital, where he remains in critical condition, police said.

An investigation is underway.
