Rolling Stone Cover 'Glorified' Suspect, Residents Say

Many say Boston Marathon bombing suspect looked like a rock star on magazine cover.

Long Islanders expressed outrage at the use of a photo of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Boston Marathon bombing suspect, on the cover of Rolling Stone. Many said the cover glorified a killer, and backed the decision of such stores as Stop & Shop, CVS and Walgreen's, not to sell the magazine.

"It's a disgrace that Rolling Stone Mag would put his picture on like he is a rock star! How incredible disrespectful to those that were affected by this act. Anyone with a subscription should cancel it.," said Melissa Mikowski on the New Hyde Park Patch Facebook page.

"Good for these stores that are standing up and doing the right thing. He's not a rock star, he's a terrorist!! What used to be a reputable magazine is now trash,"
wrote Jeannine Costigan Cohen.
