Truck Vs. Bridge Causes LIRR Delays
BREAKING: This incident comes just two weeks into the Long Island Rail Road's "Summer of Hell."

Commuters can expect delays on certain Long Island Rail Road branches in both directions on Wednesday afternoon due to a truck striking a bridge near Carle Place.
According to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, there are currently delays, averaging 13 to 18 minutes late, on the Montauk and Ronkonkoma branches.
This incident comes just two weeks into the Long Island Rail Road's "Summer of Hell." Starting on Monday, July 10, Amtrak launched an "aggressive" construction schedule, which affected as many as 10,000 LIRR customers' weekday rush hour commutes, the MTA says. Luckily, LIRR commuters are already used to hellish commutes.
