Vigil To Honor NHP Memorial Student Who Died After Go-Kart Crash

A Long Island teen has reportedly died from injuries suffered in go-kart accident at a Florida raceway last week.
A candlelight vigil will be held on Wednesday for 16-year-old Leah Kuczinski, a New Hyde Park Memorial High School student, who died on Sunday, according to a GoFundMe page that has been set up to support her family.
Newsday reported that the go-kart crash occurred around 3 p.m. last Thursday at Palm Beach Karting, which is located at the Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter.

The GoFundMe page has raised $74,000 in less than a day.
"Leah was such a beautiful, kind hearted and caring individual who always knew how to make every second count. She will be greatly missed by not only her friends and family but the entire New Hyde Park Community," the donation page explains.
The candlelight vigil will take place at 6 p.m. at NHP Memorial's athletic field.
Students have taken to Twitter to ask Hailee Steinfeld, one of Leah's favorite singers, to perform at her memorial.
