Woman Robbed At Gunpoint On Nassau Street: Police

NORTH NEW HYDE PARK, NY — A woman was robbed at gunpoint in North New Hyde Park Wednesday afternoon, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

According to police, a 52-year-old woman was walking north on Denton Avenue, near Hillside Avenue, at 3:35 p.m. when a man got out of a red Toyota Camry and approached her. The man pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at the woman, then grabbed her purse off her shoulder, got back in the car and fled west on Hillside Avenue.
