Today’s opportunity is My Sisters' Place 2024 Adopt an Emergency Shelter Family for the Holidays.
My Sisters' Place provides critical support to survivors of domestic violence, offering family and immigration legal services, counseling, and emergency shelter. Many families in its shelter have been displaced after fleeing abusive partners and are not seeking safety. These families, already facing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be spending the holidays away from home for the first time, often alone and without support.

This holiday season, volunteers are invited to "adopt" a family to bring much-needed joy and comfort. After being matched with an anonymous family, volunteers will receive the family's story and their holiday wish list. Volunteers will then purchase the requested gifts and deliver them to the My Sister's Place office, where they will be distributed to the adopted families.
