HUDSON VALLEY, NY — As a major winter storm begins to lash Hudson Valley with rain, snow, high winds and the possibility of flooding, some schools are already announcing delays and cancellations for Wednesday morning.

As of 8:30 p.m., here are the schools so far that have delayed the start or canceled classes on Wednesday.

• Brewster: 2-hour delay.
• Carmel: 2-hour delay.
• Chapel School: 2-hour delay.
• Charter School of Educational Excellence: 2-hour delay.
• Cornerstone Christian School: 2-hour delay.
• Dobbs Ferry: 2-hour delay.
• East Ramapo: 2-hour delay.
• Edgemont: 2-hour delay.
• Ellenville Central School District: 2-hour delay.
• Elmsford: 2-hour delay.
• Garrison: 2-hour delay.
• Greenburgh-Graham: 2-hour delay.
