Jail Time For Killing, Dismembering Bulldog In Westchester: DA
The 40-year-old CT man had been temporarily staying with an acquaintance in New Rochelle before taking his dog and brutally killing it.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Connecticut man will spend time behind bars for a brutal crime that shocked a community.
Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced that 40-year-old Benjamin Tyler, of New Milford, Connecticut, was sentenced last week to one year at the Westchester County Jail for killing and dismembering an English bulldog named Bruno. He pleaded guilty in June to felony aggravated cruelty to animals.
Around Dec. 6, Tyler strangled Bruno to death at the New Rochelle home of Bruno's guardian, a longtime acquaintance with whom Tyler had been staying. Tyler then dismembered Bruno and disposed of various pieces of his carcass around New Rochelle.
