LA Fitness Is Open And Ready To 'Pump You Up' In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — There are just a few short weeks left to get in shape for beach weather —for those on the Sound Shore, there's a new amenity-filled option for hitting the gym in New Rochelle.

LA Fitness has opened its newest location in New Rochelle, in the 75 Nardozzi Place property co-developed by Simone Development Companies and G&S Investors.

This is the third Westchester County location for the chain. The other locations are in the Ridge Hill Mall in Yonkers and the Post Road Plaza in Port Chester.

Amenities at the 36,000-square-foot space include group fitness classes, an indoor pool, a sauna, indoor cycling, personal training and a whirlpool, according to the gym's website.

"We were gratified to hear that the completion and opening of this LA Fitness have been highly anticipated by the New Rochelle and surrounding Westchester communities," executive vice president of LA Fitness, Paul Newman, said in a statement to media. "We appreciated the enthusiastic reception the residents here have given our clubs and our employees."

The new gym is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends.

LA Fitness — formed in 1984 in Irvine, California — has more than 700 gyms across the United States.
