Latimer Wins Congressional District 16 Race In Landslide
In a race that could change the balance of power in Congress, voters have decided who will represent NY's 16th in the House.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY —New York's 16th will be sending a new freshman congressperson to the U.S. House of Representatives.
Westchester Executive George S. Latimer (D) has defeated Miriam Levitt Flisser (R) to win the seat. His election keeps the seat in the hands of Democrats.
The Associated Press projected Latimer the winner shortly after polls closed.

Latimer earned the Democratic nomination by defeating the incumbent Jamaal Bowman in a fiercely fought primary battle that was among the most expensive in history.
The New York State Board of Elections numbers said Monday that a total of 2,985,181 state residents voted early between Oct. 26 and Nov. 3. The state also released new voter enrollment numbers as of Nov. 1 showing that there are 13.6 million total voters in the state — 12.4 million of them active. There are 5.9 million registered active Democrats, 2.8 million registered active Republicans and 3 million nonaffiliated with any party.
