NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A trio of teens were in possession of a gun linked to at least two armed robberies, according to police.

The New Rochelle Police Department says that on Thursday, around 4:30 p.m., detectives arrested three juveniles in connection to a robbery investigation.

Members of the NRPD Criminal Investigations Division, with uniformed officers, executed a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Chauncey Avenue.

Police say officers found two 17-year-olds and one 16-year-old in possession of a loaded handgun that matched the description of a firearm used in two recent armed robberies in New Rochelle.

The three teenage boys were taken into custody.

All three were charged with felony second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. They were processed as adolescent offenders, arraigned, and released on their own recognizance.
