"Any abuse of children, not to mention repeated sexual abuse, is especially grotesque. My administration is committed to holding abusers accountable, and this new indictment represents that unwavering commitment," DA Cacace said. "The children of Westchester are our legacy, and we must do everything in our power to ensure their safety."
Perez-Gabriel was previously indicted on 22 counts related to his alleged possession and promotion of child sexual abuse material, according to the DA. The earlier indictment included two felony counts of use of a child in a sexual performance, and 17 felony counts of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, in addition to other charges. Perez-Gabriel was arraigned on this indictment on March 11 and pleaded not guilty.
The case is being prosecuted by Senior Assistant DA Charlotte Gudis and Bureau Chief Christine Hatfield, both of the Special Prosecutions Division.
