Complete New Rochelle 2025 School Board & Budget Election Results

The voters decided on the $359,468,597 New Rochelle schools budget and which candidates will serve on the board of education.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The ballots are in and voters have decided on the 2025 budget and school board.

Here are the unofficial results.

The proposed New Rochelle school spending plan of $359,468,597 passed, with 3,976 voting yes and 2,046 voting no.

The new budget is 3.45 percent higher than the current budget.

The tax levy is expected to be increased by 3.95 percent. Since the property tax cap limit was exceeded by 0.33 percent, a 60 percent majority was needed.

"I am deeply grateful for the support of our community in passing this budget," said CSDNR Superintendent Corey W. Reynolds. "This budget represents very difficult decisions that were necessary to address significant financial challenges. With the passage of this spending plan, we are better positioned to achieve long-term stability while maintaining the high-quality educational experience our students expect and deserve."

Proposition 2, which asked whether the school district should buy the property adjacent to New Rochelle High School, also passed.

Two school board seats were up for election. Elana Jacob and Jessica Klein were elected to those seats.

The New Rochelle Public Library proposed budget of $7,377,667 passed. Corey Galloway was elected to a five-year term on the library board.
