The group said it is seeking information about two people who left their dog caged in front of the shelter overnight in freezing temps.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Their intentions may, or may not, have been good, but a decision to leave a caged pet at the front door of a local animal shelter has caused suffering and consternation.
The Humane Society of Westchester at New Rochelle said it is seeking information about two unknown people who left their dog at the door of their New Rochelle facility on Wednesday morning, around 3:30 a.m.
"This is a difficult video to watch, but please watch the whole way through," the organization said in a social media post this morning. "This poor girl was left for 5 hours in the cold and dark. This is not ok. This is never ok."
