NRPD Has The Summer Hook Up: Youth Fishing Cruises Back For 2024

New Rochelle residents between the ages of 10 and 15 years of age are invited to take part in the popular Community Youth Fishing Trips.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Police Department PACT unit and the New Rochelle Police Foundation have announced this year's dates for the beloved summer tradition.

The fishing cruises led by members of the Police and Community Together (PACT) unit will take place on four Wednesdays this summer. The excursions are open to New Rochelle residents between 10 and 15 years of age.

The Long Island Sound fishing trips on board the Shamrock charter boat are planned for July 17, July 24, July 31 and August 7. The charter trips will depart from 95 Fort Slocum Road at Neptune Park. Participants must be ready for departure by 9 a.m. The boat will return at approximately 2 p.m. each day.

Lunch, beverages and fishing gear will be provided.

All participants must have signed permission from a parent or guardian to participate in the boat trips. Completed permission forms can be returned to the front desk at police headquarters at 475 North Ave.
