Latimer Defeats Bowman: Complete Westchester Primary Results

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — The voters have made their voices heard and the nominees for the upcoming general election have been decided.

Westchester County residents cast a historic high number of early votes, but the primary election winners were decided on Election Day.

This year, Westchester County voters decided on their party's nominees for countywide, state and congressional races, which will take place this November alongside an increasingly contentious presidential election where Biden and Trump have already sewn up their parties' nominations.

The unofficial results still need to be certified, but with the polls closed, a clear picture of what November will look like in Westchester County is coming into focus.

NY 16th Congressional District, Democratic Primary

George Latimer defeated incumbent Jamaal A. Bowman.

Latimer will face Miriam Levitt Flisser who was certified as the Republican candidate for New York's 16th Congressional District by the New York State Board of Elections on June 20.

Westchester County District Attorney, Democratic Primary

Retired judge Susan Cacace, who was endorsed by current Westchester County District Attoney Miriam Rocah, defeated civil rights lawyer Willian Wagstaff III for the Democratic nomination.

Assembly District 92, Democratic Primary

MaryJane C. Shimsky defeated Thomas J. Abinanti.

She will face Republican Alessandro Crocco in the general election.
