Socceroof, An Indoor Soccer Facility, Now Open At New Roc City

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — It's always a beautiful day to play soccer in the Queen City on the Sound, thanks to a brand new downtown facility.

The New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce recently hosted the grand opening and ribbon-cutting of Socceroof at New Roc City, the sixth location for the company.

The company's other locations are in Sunset Park, Crown Heights, Long Island City, and Montreal (two locations).

"We are thrilled to expand our footprint with the opening of our New Rochelle facility," Soccerroof CEO Jean David Tartour said. "Our mission has always been to provide high-quality, accessible soccer experiences for everyone, and this new location embodies that vision perfectly. We look forward to welcoming the local community and fostering a love for the game in a state-of-the-art environment."

The New Roc City location features multiple indoor fields with advanced turf, professional lighting, and climate control, for optimal playing conditions year-round, according to the company. In addition to the soccer fields, the facility includes pickleball, basketball, baseball cages, a lounge area with an ongoing soccer broadcast, and event spaces available for private parties and corporate events. An arcade space is also coming soon.

The new 55,000 square feet sport facility is located on the 3rd floor of New Roc City, in the space where "FunFuzion" used to be before closing during the pandemic.

Socceroof will be joining other entertainment attractions at New Roc City, including Skyzone Trampoline Park, Banana's Axe Cabana, and the Regal New Roc movie theater.

Mayor Yadira Ramos-Herbert, Deputy Commissioner of Development Jorge Ventura, New Rochelle Small Business Manager Mariana Jusufaj, and City Council Person Shane Osinloye were on hand for the grand opening.

Socceroof New Rochelle is open for bookings and offers field rental, youth classes, summer camps, private events, and open play.
