“Welcome Home, Ritchie Petrie!”: Dick Van Dyke Show Actor to Visit September 13th

"Welcome Home, Ritchie Petrie!”: On Saturday, September 13th New Rochelle will celebrate its connection to the popular sitcom The Dick Van Dyke Show with “An Afternoon of Nostalgia with Larry Mathews." Famously set in New Rochelle, The Dick Van Dyke Show featured actor Larry Matthews as Rob and Laura Petrie’s young son Ritchie, and Matthews will be visiting to share personal memories from his time on the iconic series. The afternoon will include a screening of Larry’s favorite episode, Never Name a Duck, with live commentary from Larry, plus Larry’s never-before-seen behind-the-scenes color home movies and photos.

The free event, sponsored by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts in collaboration with the New Rochelle Public Library will begin at 12 pm. The program will include an audience Q&A , a display of vintage memorabilia and replica props from the show and a meet-and-greet reception with selfie and autograph opportunities (fees apply).
