Youth aged 13 to 18 are invited to submit their poetry and storytelling on the theme "Migration's Effects" for a special spoken word event, "World on the Move", taking place on January 3rd at the New Rochelle Public Library's Ossie Davis Theater. The event is being curated by the NRCA's Youth Advisory Board: To be considered submissions are due December 15th: The form to apply can be accessed at https://docs.google.com/forms/...

The spoken word event is planned as a closing celebration for a special traveling exhibit being hosted by the New Rochelle Public Library: "World on the Move" offers an in-depth look at migration from various perspectives, emphasizing the shared experience of movement and its profound impact on the human story.

The curated evening of poetry and storytelling from local teens will draw from their understanding and personal experiences of migration: These young voices will offer powerful perspectives on the challenges and hopes connected to the journey of migration in 2024.
