2 Injured In Southold Rollover Crash: Police
1 driver had to climb out of the rear door of the pickup truck, police say.
SOUTHOLD, NY — Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Southold Tuesday, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the crash took place at 5:13 p.m. on Route 25, east of South Harbor Road.
Southold Town police and Southold Fire Department rescue responded and found that a 2018 Ford F-150 pickup truck had rolled over on its passenger side and was leaning against a broken utility pole, authorities said.

Also, in the middle of the road, there was a second involved vehicle, a 2013 Nissan Altima, which was occupied by a sole female driver, police said.
The driver of the F-150 was unable to exit the vehicle, since it was rolled over on its side, and had to be assisted by officers and fire department members to climb out the rear driver's side door, police said.

The driver of the Nissan Altima was traveling westbound and crossed over the double yellow line into the eastbound lane, striking the pickup truck and causing the truck to roll over and strike the pole, police said.
PSEG responded to stabilize the broken pole before the truck could be removed from the scene, police said.
Both drivers were treated for minor injuries and were transported to Eastern Long Island Hospital for further treatment by Southold Fire Department rescue, police said.
No charges were immediately filed in the crash, police said.
