Crash On Causeway Leads To Power Outage For Some
A vehicle crashed into a pole, with wires down, police say.
NORTH FORK, NY — A crash on the Orient causeway led to a power outage for some Thursday.
According to Southold Town Police Chief Martin Flatley, the crash took place at about 4:30 p.m. on Route 25 in Orient. A vehicle struck a utility pole and brought wires down, he said.
Minor injuries were reported and there were no arrests, he said. Some residents reported a power outage that lasted about two hours.
