East Marion Fire Department Celebrates 125th Anniversary Saturday

The festivities will include a parade, antique fire trucks, a drone show, and more.

EAST MARION, NY — The East Marion Fire Department is set to celebrate its 125th Anniversary Saturday— 125 years of dedicated service and heroism.

The East Marion Fire Department's 125th Anniversary Parade & Celebration kicks off with the parade, which steps off at 6 p.m. from Shipyard Lane and ends at the firehouse, located at 9245 Main Road in East Marion.

Following the parade, there will be a celebration at the firehouse consisting of food, beverages, live music and a $100 raffle from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Antique fire trucks will also be on view. To conclude the celebration, a live drone show will take place at 10 p.m.

$100 raffle tickets can be purchased from any member. No tickets are required to join the celebration.

Reflecting on 125 years, Chief Carole Miller said, "It's a wonderful thing. We're all very excited."
