Man Charged After Report Of 'Erratic' Driving In Southold: Police
He was charged with DWI and driving without a license, police say.

SOUTHOLD, NY — An East Patchogue man was arrested and charged with DWI in Southold after a report came in about an erratic driver, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the incident took place on August 21 at 8 p.m. on Maple Avenue. Danard L. Armstrong, 34, was heading east on Route 25 from Mattituck; an officer located the vehicle and initiated a stop, determining that Armstrong was under the influence of alcohol, police said.
Armstrong was subsequently arrested, charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation, refusal to submit to a breath test, and moving from lane unsafely, police said. He was transported to Southold police headquarters to be held for arraignment, police said.
