Man Charged With Felony DWI In Cutchogue: Police
He veered out of his lane and almost hit other cars, callers told police.

NORTH FORK, NY — A Southold man was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony driving while intoxicated in Cutchogue, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the incident took place at 4:05 p.m. on Route 48; police received multiple reports about the driver of a blue 2010 Chevrolet Silverado failing to maintain his lane.
Callers stated the driver almost struck other cars after veering out of his lane, police said. Southold police located the vehicle and Rudy Elias, 44, the sole occupant, was determined to be intoxicated and placed under arrest, police said.

He was charged with felony DWI, previous conviction within 10 years; refusal to take a breath test; second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle; circumventing an interlock device; and obstruction of governmental administration, police said.
He was transported to Southold police headquarters, where he was processed and held overnight to await arraignment at Southold Town Justice Court, police said.
