Man Crashes Into Utility Pole On North Fork, Charged With DWI: PD
He was driving at a high rate of speed, police say.

MATTITUCK, NY — A Wading River man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing into a utility pole at a high rate of speed in Mattituck, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the single-vehicle crash took place on April 4 at 7:55 p.m. on Sound Avenue.
David Martinez, 32, was driving westbound on Sound Avenue at a high rate of speed when he lost control and collided into a utility pole, police said. He was found to be intoxicated, arrested, charged with DWI, and transported to Southold Town police headquarters for arraignment, police said.
