May 16: Consume News, Moonlight Monday, Village Board

Monday provides an opportunity to talk Greenport issues and listen to live music.

Attend a lecture on the changing face of news media and see a former "American Idol" star on Monday.

1. Find out how to be smarter about how you consume news at a lecture on media arts at the at Stony Brook University at 6 p.m. Join the award-winning faculty of Stony Brook’s School of Journalism in a special public program sponsored by the School, the Society of Professional Journalists and the Press Club of Long Island. 3. , 45470 Route 25 in Southold, hosts "Moonlight Monday" with live music from Bryce Larsen, a former "American Idol" contestant who will be performing pop-rock covers at the winery.  Call 631-765-4168.
