May 4: PTA Plant Sale, T'ai Chi, Author Talk

Enjoy a chicken dinner for the Cub Scouts or buy a plant for the Greenport PTA on Wednesday.

1., 58775 Route 48 in Greenport, hosts a chicken dinner fundraiser for Cub Scout Pack 51 from 1 to 8 p.m. Take-out will be available. Cost is $17.

2. Catch local author Mary Agria talking about her new gardening book at 7 p.m. at the Southold Free Library, 53705 Route 25 in Southold, before she hits the road on a book tour. Call 631-765-5667.

3. , 720 Front Street in Greenport, holds a plant sale for the PTA from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale will also happen Thursday and Friday in the school lobby. Annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetables will be for sale at great prices. Call 631-477-1950.

4. , 27550 Main Road in Cutchogue, holds a t'ai chi session from 5 to 6 p.m. Learn how to reduce stress, improve balance and mental focus through this Chinese form of exercise. Call 631-734-6360.
