New Site Plan on the Horizon for Long-Vacant Restaurant/Marina
The Suffolk Times investigates the status of the old Mill Creek Inn, refurbished but still vacant and rife with code violations, and recently purchased.

The elaborate cedar-shingled building once known as the Mill Creek Inn, which has stood vacant on Route 25 in Southold since a restoration attempt six years ago, might have a new site plan soon, according to Planning Director Heather Lanza.
gave an update this week about the status of the building, located next toon Peconic Bay and across from Hashamomuck Pond. The building constructed by Richard Principi of Principi Properties — much of which was built without proper permits — was purchased by Mill Creek Partners LLC in June for $2.47 million. Eugene Burger, the head of that company, will now have to figure out ways iron out legal issues and move forward with construction, according to the report.

In response to the article, Lanza said that a representative of Mill Creek Partners met with her and planning staff last week to give a heads up on what a new site plan will look like for the property.
"Nothing has been submitted yet but it seems things are in motion," she said.
