North Fork Students Up For 'Teeny' High School Theater Awards

Winners of the annual competition will be announced at Westhampton Beach High School ceremony on June 5.

Several students from , , , have been nominated for "Teeny Awards," the long-standing Tony-esque awards ceremony for those who've shined in high school theatrical productions this past school year across the East End.

The ninth-annual "Teenys" is sponsored by the and will be held at Westhampton Beach High School on June 5, where nominees chosen from 15 participating East End high schools will be up for trophies.

A panel of judges attended ambitious North Fork school productions such as and The actors were judged on skill demonstrated in movement, delivery, stage presence, singing, and dancing.

JUDGES’ CHOICE AWARD

  • Mattituck High School Students, led by Colin Keil, Becca Mincieli and Marissa Russo, are receiving the Judge's Choice Award for campaigning to bring a musical to their school for the first time since 1989. 

The Teeny Awards ceremony is open to the public. Tickets may be purchased at the East End Arts Council or online at www.eastendarts.org. Tickets are $20/$15 for students.
