Peconic Landing Fireworks, End Of Summer Celebration Set To Delight
The annual event, hosted by Peconic Landing and the Brecknock Hall Foundation, draws scores to Greenport.
GREENPORT, NY — A well-loved tradition is set to return this year: Peconic Landing and the Brecknock Hall Foundation will host the annual "End of Summer Celebration and Fireworks Show", open to the greater community, on Sunday, September 1.
The event is sponsored by a 2024 Suffolk County Omnibus Grant.
Since its 2012 inception, the free public event has consistently brought in a crowd of more than 1,000, Peconic Landing said.

The evening starts with music and dancing on the patio of Brecknock Hall, followed by a fireworks show over the pond. Attendees are invited to bring folding chairs or blankets to enjoy the show from the surrounding lawn.
"We are thrilled to invite the entire community to join us for this special celebration," said Robert J. Syron, president and CEO of Peconic Landing. "This event is our way of expressing gratitude for the continued support from our neighbors. It’s a wonderful opportunity to come together, enjoy great music, and celebrate the end of summer with a spectacular fireworks display."

The event starts at 7 p.m. with a live performance by the Gordon Dukes Band. Fireworks will take off at sunset, approximately 8:15 p.m., launched over Peconic Landing’s community pond.
Fireworks will be supplied and produced by Starfire Corporation.
A rain date is scheduled for Monday, September 2.
