Photos: First LI Vintage of Albarino Released at Palmer Vineyards

Evening tasting was held on the back deck of Aquebogue winery Thursday to celebrate special new release.

winemaker Miguel Martin hosted a tasting party Thursday evening at the picturesque Aquebogue vineyard to celebrate the release of theand to open new vintages like the 2010 sauvignon blanc.

Palmer Vineyards was the first Long Island vineyard to plant and harvest the albarino grape, a major grape grown in the northwest of Spain, where Martin is from, and in the Vino Verde region of Portugal.
