Police: Coram Man Charged With Driving While on Drugs

David Skaritka, 21, of Coram was charged with driving while impaired by drugs on Saturday at 7:32 a.m., after police found him stopped on the westbound lane of Route 48 near Albertsons Lane in Greenport with the engine running and the vehicle in reverse, police said. After investigation, Skaritka was found to be impaired by drugs and resisted arrest, police said. He was taken to police headquarters in Peconic where he was processed.
